iPhone Bluetooth Headset Released
After weeks of telephone calls to the Apple store they finally said what so many have been waiting to hear... 'Yes, we have the iPhone Bluetooth Headset in stock'.
The design is amazing. The size is perfect -- not too big, not too small. The fit is surprisingly comfortable even after remaining in ear for more than an hour. The status light being hidden when not being charged is a nice touch (works like the iSight indicator light).
The paring process worked exactly as advertised. Just dock the headset and iPhone to the computer using the dual dock.
The sound quality is about what you would expect from a Bluetooth headset -- good, not great. In the end you sacrifice a little sound quality for convenience.
Thus far battery life has been great.
- Custom ringtones that are assigned to contacts are not played through the headset when the phone rings.
- The battery indicator is very nice, but only appears when docked. It would be nice to have an option to see remaining battery life when not docked. That way you will have some idea of the amount of talk time you have left when away from your computer/dock.
I am very glad I waited to purchase this device -- I love it!

Looks cool. I'll have to try it.
Too bad they don't have the flexible stereo setup like the BT 8010 where it's two earpieces connected by a small removable cord, but one earpiece (and the attached cord) can be removed to just use the other for phone mono sound/mic. Now that would have been killer.

PS: I don't work for any of these companies, I just think the BT 8010 is a great concept.
